Culture Club Events

Throughout the year there are a number of events organised for families to enjoy and to celebrate the cultural richness of the various birthplaces of our children.

These include:-

• International Food Day
• Fiestas
• Diwali
• New arrival Day
• Christmas Party

ICARN also holds fund raising activities during each year for families and extended families. All money raised are distributed to the organizations that care for children in need in overseas countries as well as funding educational programs for families and children already here.

Playgroups

ICARN runs several playgroups around the city for parents to meet other families and children in a relaxed setting. The playgroups are a very important part of the children's lives and many friendships are formed here between the children and the children's parents.

Parents meet for a shared snack and a play. There is a small charge to cover the cost of the venue, usually in the vicinity of $3 - $5.

Camps

Every year ICARN members have a weekend away at a seaside location outside of Melbourne. It is a wonderful experience for the children and adults alike. Every year the camp is very well supported by families with children of pre school and school age. Surfing, the trampoline, flying fox and some group activities including a bonfire and barbecue make this weekend a must in the ICARN event calendar.
